MEET THE MAKER

With ancestry rooted in the Scanian and Black Forest regions and currently hailing from New England, this adornment project blends a Scandinavian minimal textural aesthetic with the magic and mystery of the dark forest. My aesthetic has always been a unique mix of East meets West; born on the West Coast, living on the East Coast. I grew up camping, perpetually outdoors with the adventure and animals and now have been living in and around the city of Boston for over 20 years.
This work also honors the ancient bond and shared energy between human and horse. Our own human history is deeply intertwined with ancestral ties to horses along with their strength, intuition, and spirit. These influences shape a creative process that is foremost a deep dive into the spellwork of my heritage, exploring themes of energy manifestation and weaving personalized ritual craft into each piece. Expect minimal yet bold statements, rich organic textures, and an ever-present current of purpose — where adornment becomes both talisman and tether to ancestral power, land, and the enduring spirit of the horse.
The name Four Horses originates from a recurring dream I have whenever I feel disconnected from my creative path. It felt like the perfect title for this ongoing creative journey, a reminder to delve deeper and embrace the artwork in all it's forms. I'm excited to continue to explore my passions and share them with you as I explore different media and integrate all my skills! Some projects in the works include embroidery, ceramics for home and additional wearables!
This project is made possible through the connection and partnership with Anam Cara Farm in Canaan, ME and the herd that lovingly donate their hair. I look forward to sharing their names, stories and spirit. Four Horses is deeply committed to ethical, equitable, and ecological practices and prioritizes sustainable materials and processes, always seeking the most conscientious way forward. Anam Cara Farm is lock step in alignment with their own efforts towards Equiculture.
Thank you for visiting the shop. I’m excited to share what’s next and hope to inspire you to create as well!
